A project to restore critically eroded sections of Navarre Beach by pumping in tons of sand from the Gulf of Mexico should begin any day.
Dredging will start as soon as workers from Weeks Marine Inc. stage equipment near the beach, set sections of pipe and make other preparations, Brandi Whitehurst, a spokeswoman for Santa Rosa County, said Monday. The preparatory work is scheduled to start Friday, and work is expected to continue through June.
