On Wednesday 28 January, the naming ceremony of the Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) Windward Paris took place at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.
Windward Paris is the second CSOV VARD has delivered to Windward Offshore GmbH & Co. KG, one week ahead of contractual delivery. The first vessel, Windward Athens, was delivered on time in September 2025 and is currently operating under an O&M contract. Windward Paris will now support the construction phase of a new offshore wind farm in the German Bight.
These two vessels are the first of four highly advanced, hybrid all-around platforms contracted by Windward Offshore with FINCANTIERI subsidiary VARD, marking Windward Offshore’s entry into the CSOV/SOV market. Both vessels were chartered well in advance and are going straight into operation after delivery.
