The dredging, once it’s completed, is expected to make the harbor navigable for most boats for 10 years.
Mud and silt is removed from Green Harbor.
The work is being done by state and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors.
After mud and silt are removed, the harbor’s depth is expected be 10 feet.
The work is expected to last through the winter.
Harbormaster Mike DiMeo is overseeing the project for the town.
