After temperatures dropped earlier this week in Alabama, the low temperature in Mobile Thursday was 45 degrees.

But Roberta Swann, director of the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Chris Blankenship, commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and other officials still gathered at Cedar Point Pier in Mobile County.
