The Merizo Pier will be ready in time for the Festival of Pacific Arts, Guam Department of Agriculture Director Matt Sablan said.
The pier and fishing platform are currently being renovated.
“We need to encourage people to build a stronger fishing and marine industry. That’s why we’re building modern infrastructure, so we can support fishermen and entice young Guamanians to fish and to explore oceanic careers,” Gov. Eddie Calvo said when he signed the contract for the project.
