The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) is pleased to announce the recipient of its first-ever fellowship to Kendall Brome. Ms. Brome is a graduate student completing a master’s degree in coastal geography with a minor in geology at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Ms. Brome’s research uses geochemistry to investigate past ecological and geomorphological effects of sea-level change in the Gulf of Mexico. Her research outcomes are significant for climate change and coastal erosion researchers and those in the dredging and coastal engineering communities. Through her research, she seeks to bridge together stakeholders, industry professionals, academics, and community members to improve collective understanding and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. She will be graduating in December 2022.
WEDA is a 501 c(3) non-profit educational and technical professional organization devoted to exchanging knowledge in fields related to dredging, navigation, marine engineering, and construction.
