We are thrilled to announce the launching of the Gerard McAllister, our latest tractor tug! She was successfully launched with the assistance of Portland Tugboat’s Roderick McAllister. Gerard Smith, a fourth-generation McAllister, accompanied by his wife Nancy and daughter Madeline, had the traditional honor of smashing the tug across the bow with champagne. The Gerard boasts 6,770 horsepower, low emissions, and an impressive 84 tons of bollard pull. We extend our gratitude to the skilled craftsmen at Washburn & Doughty Associates, Inc. for their sixth exceptional build in this class.
We look forward to delivery day, when the Gerard’s power and maneuverability will enable us to continue providing unsurpassed service to the maritime community for years to come.
