The MB92 Group has promoted commercial director Henk Dreijer to the new position of chief business development officer to develop strategic operations with emphasis on sourcing significant refit projects.
Since the start of the year A&P Tyne’s team has carried out dockings for offshore support vessels Rever Sapphire and Rever Polaris, which included name change and small upgrade works for the former and upgrade work to the dive systems, steel repairs and a thruster overhaul for the latter. A Lifeboat change-out has also been completed for cable-laying vessel, Cable Enterprise.
David McGinley, managing director of A&P, said: “Strong performance across all four UK facilities saw us enjoy a busy winter and set us up for a strong final quarter of the year.”
Rapid business flow
A&P Tyne is also fabricating six pontoons for the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm which will be delivered this summer and is preparing for the load-out of completed sections of the Astute Class submarines for delivery to BAE Systems Maritime in Barrow-In-Furness.
In Tees, A&P has docked suction dredgers Arco Avon and City of Westminster and the Afloat team has carried out two mobilisations for Briggs Marine in the Port of Blyth.
A&P Great Yarmouth is supporting maintenance programmes on the Seajacks Leviathon, as well as undertaking pontoon decommissioning for SSE, while A&P Falmouth’s work includes the completion of the RFA Argus refit under A&P’s GB£239m Future In-Service Support (FISS) contract with the MoD.
