Marylanders provide input on Bay Bridge construction at MDTA’s second public hearing

Posted on February 11, 2026

Marylanders had their second chance to provide input on Bay Bridge construction on Tuesday.

The first in-person meeting was held as the Maryland Transportation Authority studies traffic on the bridge. It’s part of a wider project to make the Bay Bridge safer after the Key Bridge collapse.

The project could create major traffic issues, and planners are trying to get a handle on just how bad the issues could be.

Another public hearing will be held in Queen Anne’s County on Thursday to discuss the Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study.
