Barnstable County recently agreed to use its workers and equipment to pull sediment and materials from a 1,500-foot stretch of the river south of the Sea Street Bridge, Marshfield Harbormaster Mike DiMeo said.
The project, originally planned as part of a 2013 dredging effort that never panned out, is a benefit to Marshfield and Scituate boaters and will give better access in a heavily used area, he said.
