The manual dredging operation at the river in Barangay East Rembo, Taguig City was conducted on August 8, 2025, in collaboration with the Lake and River Management Office (LRMO) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
This operation is a part of MMDA’s River Project and the City Government of Taguig’s Flood Control Program with the aim of mitigating and preventing flooding in the city.
The water channels were cleared of garbage, water lilies, and other obstructions.
The City Government of Taguig calls on its residents to cooperate by properly disposing of their garbage and not blocking the water channels to avoid flooding during the rainy season.
Meanwhile, the water level in Laguna Lake has dropped as it was recorded at 12.69 meters at 2:00 PM on August 8, 2025.
