Manson Construction’s “Wotan” heading to Jacksonville, FL to USACE Project

Posted on April 14, 2020

Those who know The Mighty WOTAN, know her as a workhorse, but she is also well-traveled. She’s in Louisiana now, soon to be heading East to Jacksonville to execute an important project for USACE. She knows the West Coast. She has placed stone in Cook Inlet, Alaska; she’s installed Oil Platform modules in Santa Barbara, California; and she’s installed the Point Loma outfall in San Diego, California.

She knows the Gulf of Mexico. For years she has worked its blue waters installing and decommissioning oil and gas platforms. To work under those conditions a rig has to have a good sea-keeping ability and a robust anchor spread. The Wotan is 90’ x 300’, runs 8-10 ton Delta Flipper anchors and handles herself nicely in open waters.

She knows the Atlantic. She helped recover a piece of history, acting as a diving platform for the U.S. Navy and using her Clyde-42 crane with a 500-Ton lifting capacity to resurface the historical USS Monitor’s turret from under 240-feet of water off the coast of North Carolina.

With all U.S. Coast Guard certificates in order, and equipped with quarters good for office space or accommodation for up to 20 bunks, the Wotan’s travel plans could fit your project schedule. Contact Manson for more info. #availableforcharter#marineindustry
