The hopper dredge BAYPORT is returning to the West Coast to gear up for the FY25 West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging project!
Last week, the BAYPORT passed through the Gatun Locks of the Panama Canal, transferring from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.
A critical project for the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ Portland District, the work involves maintenance dredging in several areas along the West Coast, including Humboldt Bay, CA, Coos Bay, OR, and the Lower Columbia River and the Mouth of the Columbia River.
Fun Fact: This will be the eighth time Manson has completed this project for the USACE’s Portland District.
