The contract to dredge Manistee Harbor (worth $581,600) has been awarded to the King Company of Holland, MI. The outfit was the last to dredge Manistee harbor in 2022. It is unknown when dredging will begin. The company is currently working on a large dredging project in Muskegon with their dredge Barry J. Of interest, their tug Matt Allen (under her former name Maribeth Andrie) towed the City of Milwaukee from Elberta to Manistee to begin her life as a museum ship.
