Manalapan woman receives civil engineering award
Dana Hecht, a longtime public servant from Manalapan, received this year’s Government Civil Engineer of the Year Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers. Hecht comes with close to 27 years of experience in transportation and will spearhead the development of the groundbreaking PATH to Newark Extension project for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Amboy Bank appoints names chief credit officer
Joseph Cascella of Hazlet is joining Amboy Bank as chief credit officer. Cascella previously served as vice president/senior credit officer and director of credit and portfolio management at BCB Community Bank. He earned his bachelor of science, mathematics and secondary education degree at the State University of New York New Paltz.
David J. Miller, an environmental attorney with experience in the private and public sectors, was appointed as a shareholder at Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla in Red Bank.
He counsels clients on the Industrial Site Recovery Act, Site Remediation Reform Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act and interactions with the Environmental Protection Agency on Superfund matters. Miller, worked at Giordano, Halleran as an environmental associate in 2015 and 2016 and also served as senior counsel in the Office of Gov. Phil Murphy, overseeing environmental and energy issues and initiatives. Miller earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of New Jersey and his law degree from Rutgers School of Law-Camden.
