The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry on Thursday recommended continuing dredging in Mongla-Ghoshiakhali channel under the supervision of Water Development Board.
The recommendation was made at the 26th meeting of the committee at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Maj (retd) Rafiqul Islam in the chair.
Committee members Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, M Abdul Latif, Ranajit Kumar Roy, M Anwarul Azim and Mamtaz Begum Advocate attended the meeting, said an official release.
