I had the privilege of joining Dr. Nicole Elko and the American Shore & Beach Preservation Association for a special podcast celebrating ASBPA’s 100‑year anniversary.
A century of service to America’s coasts is no small milestone. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the evolution of coastal engineering and the critical role it plays in protecting communities, strengthening our economy, and preserving the natural systems we depend on.
We also discussed the tremendous support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has provided over the decades—innovating, partnering, and delivering solutions that make our coastlines more resilient for future generations.
Grateful to ASBPA for the invitation, to Dr. Elko for the thoughtful conversation, and to the thousands of professionals across USACE who continue to advance this mission every day.
Here’s to the next 100 years of coastal stewardship and collaboration.
