JERA one of the global leading offshore wind developers known for their engineering, design, construction and project management services joins bp with their long history in the industry to form JERA Nex bp a new entity which will be a leading global offshore wind developments. JERA Nex bp will be led by Nathalie Oosterlinck, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of JERA Nex – the new global renewable energy business focussed on transforming the global energy system and developing 20GW capacity by 2035.
The new corporation will possess operating and development assets with a combined potential net generating capacity of 13GW across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US.

As a leading independent platform for renewables development, the joint venture will benefit from the strong partnership between the two shareholders that extends beyond low carbon energy.”
The announcement of the JERA Nex bp leadership team was made in the presence of Yoji Muto, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Jonathan Reynolds, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade and Julia Longbottom, the British Ambassador to Japan as part of the Signing ceremony for the Memorandum of cooperation in offshore wind power.
