Jan De Nul Showcases Precision Lifting Operations Aboard Les Alizés

Posted on March 4, 2026

Operating one of the world’s largest cranes on board our offshore construction vessel Les Alizés is a serious responsibility. Each lift is immense in scale and hawk-sharp in precision. In calm seas it demands focus, in rough weather, steady control and experience. There is little or no room for error.

Every lift depends on an operator who understands the vessel’s movement, the weather and the limits of the equipment. Even with one of the world’s largest cranes, it is human skill that makes the difference. And yet Robin makes it happen every day.

“I never imagined I would play such a key role on a vessel of this size, contributing to the installation of offshore wind farms.” – Robin, living his best work-life.
