Near the port of Ghent, we are renovating the oldest of two reservoirs at the Kluizen water production centre of De Watergroep.
Together, they supply the northeast of Belgium with up to 60,000 m³ of drinking water daily.
In early 2024, we began a 2.5-year renovation with our partners: removing sediment, carefully replacing the old liner with a new 60-hectare HDPE liner with leak detection – equivalent to 90 football fields – and we are upgrading technical facilities.
