Our jack-up installation vessel Vole au vent successfully installed the first wind turbine at the EMYN Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier wind farm, located off the French coast.
Between now and September, 61 turbines will be installed for this project with Vole au vent. Ahead of this phase, our cutter suction dredger Willem van Rubroeck prepared the seabed to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Once operational, the wind farm will generate enough renewable electricity to power around 800,000 people annually.
This milestone is the result of a joint effort over the past two years between EMYN, SGRE and our teams.
