In Nieuwpoort, Belgium, we are building a storm surge barrier on the Yser River designed to protect the hinterland from extreme storms.
At this moment, we are using our brand-new, fully electric cable crane to remove the temporary construction pit. This cable crane is the third of its kind in Belgium and can operate independently for up to eight hours.
The next major milestone in the project: completing the steel barrier production and installing it here in the summer of 2026.
