Our colleagues are our greatest asset, and their safety should never be negatively impacted by our activities. That’s why we go above and beyond to minimise and, where possible, eliminate risks. At the same time, we acknowledge that our operations do come with inherent risks. To address this, we launched our new internal program S.A.F.E. – Safety Always For Everyone – earlier this year, aimed at strengthening our safety culture and preventing accidents.
Today, on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we’re putting extra focus on this important topic – by sending 130 colleagues out into the field.
130 Colleagues Promoting Safety at Jan De Nul
Today marks the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. To celebrate this occasion, no fewer than 130 colleagues are stepping out of their usual work environment to visit a site belonging to a different division. Their mission? To connect with on-site teams and exchange experiences on safety and well-being.
This cross-pollination not only fosters stronger bonds between colleagues but also helps spread the safety message far and wide.
These colleagues are heading to construction sites, warehouses and even a few vessels across Belgium. Just a few examples from the list include:
- Oosterweel Link, Antwerp
- Constitution
- Infrastructure Complex F35, Kleine Brogel & Florennes
- Wildlife Crossings, Limburg
- Princess Elisabeth Island, North Sea
- Our warehouses
- Recovery Centres in Ghent, Mons and Liège
- Water Basin, Kluizen
- Ferñao de Magalhães
- Sanderus
And of course, our international projects and vessels are joining in too – digitally this time, as being physically present isn’t always feasible.
