IHC America announces that it has been awarded the contract to build a Water Injection Dredge for the North Carolina State Ports Authority. The dredge will perform maintenance in the main seaports of Wilmington and Morehead City for maintaining the depth of the ports by moving sediment from the main channel and allowing the natural currents to move material from the channe, while keeping the material within the Cape Fear River system. The dredge was designed to be low in maintenance and ease of operation per NCSPA requirements.
