On June 16, 2022, the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (Huntsville Center) awarded a $699 million contract to BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc., Rockville, Maryland, for integrated services in support of the High-Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP).
The contract will provide DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) operations and management to the DoD Science and Technology, Research and Development, Test and Evaluation communities, which access the DoD HPCMP Supercomputer systems. These systems support both classified and unclassified Defense Research and Engineering Network/Secure Defense Research and Engineering Network and provide a High-Performance Computing (HPC) computational environment that includes a full range of resources, such as hardware, software, networking, data storage, archiving and visualization.
The task order includes the management and technical support necessary to advance HPC services, infrastructure, capabilities and technologies, the development of new techniques, analytical methods, and computational modeling and simulation approaches to advance the effectiveness and efficiency of HPC.
The services for this contract will be performed at five DSRCs: Army Research Laboratory DSRC, Adelphi, Maryland; Air Force Research Laboratory DSRC, Wright-Patterson, Ohio; Navy Oceanographic DSRC, Stennis Center, Mississippi; Engineering Research and Development Center DSRC, Vicksburg, Mississippi; and Maui High Performance Computing Center DSRC, Maui, Hawaii.
