How Greece’s port became a front line in US–China trade rivalry

The US and China have been locked in a global trade and influence battle since President Donald Trump’s return to the oval office.

A new competition is now emerging. The economic superpowers are vying to develop ports in the Greek bay of Elefsina.

The rivalry is bringing in jobs and prosperity but also poses a threat to the area’s environment and heritage.
