HID Shipyard of China Launches Latest Design Cutter Suction Dredger in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — HID Shipyard, a global leader in dredger manufacturing, has launched its latest cutter suction dredger (CSD) in Malaysia, designed specifically for coastal reclamation and riverbank maintenance projects. This innovative vessel marks another milestone in HID Shipyard’s commitment to high-quality and efficient shipbuilding craftsmanship.

Built to stringent international quality standards, the dredger is now operational on-site after successful installation and commissioning. The vessel is equipped with a series of capabilities, including a dredging depth of up to 12 meters, a discharge flow rate of 4000-4500 m³/h, and a discharge distance of 2000 meters, making it ideal for demanding local projects.

At the heart of the dredger is a top-tier Weichai diesel engine, one of China’s leading brands, delivering a total installed power of 1500 kW. This ensures the vessel meets and exceeds operational efficiency and reliability standards.
