Alan Bernard, CEO of dredging and civil engineering firm DEME, has won this year’s Vlerick Award, handed out annually by Vlerick Business School on behalf of its alumni association, which votes for the winner.
The theme of this year’s award was “Legacy & Promise”. All the nominees “run a company with a proud history and valuable legacy that must be safeguarded,” said Vlerick in a statement. “At the same time, the company must also continue to develop and grow.”
