Residents opposed to sand being taken away from their local beach are claiming a partial victory after the practice was forced to stop – for now.
There has been growing opposition to the dredging of the river at Hayle and the removal of golden sand from an area along the estuary which is then stored at a yard where the Hayle North Quay development is underway, then sold.
