Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co. Inc. on Monday was awarded a contract of more than $60.6 million from the U.S. Department of Defense for the construction of two facilities at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay.
The Honolulu-based construction company will design and build a two-story communications facility and a six-story concrete framed parking facility in Windward Oahu, according to a statement from the DOD.
The contract also contains an option, which if exercised would increase the contract’s value to more than $63.3 million.
Work for both projects is expected to be completed by March 2020.
