Fisheries minister Avertano Furtado has announced that the government would soon undertake an exercise of dredging and beautification of river Sal, a project that would entail an expenditure of 200 crore.
Furtado made this statement while addressing a gathering after paying homage to the martyrs at the Lohia Maidan, Margao, on the occasion of the Goa Revolution Day celebrations on Thursday. Dignitaries also placed wreaths at the martyrs’ memorial.
