Gov. Deal Warns Federal Foot Dragging on Budget Could Delay Savannah Port Expansion

The deepening of the Savannah River will be delayed if the federal government continues to drag its feet on federal funding, Gov. Nathan Deal warned Tuesday.

“We can’t afford to lose very much more time,” he told business leaders attending the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s annual Eggs and Issues breakfast.
