The South Australian Boating Facility Advisory Committee has committed over $500 000 to dredging Pirie River next financial year, ensuring the project will go ahead.
The much needed funding will be added to the $1.4 million committed by the Port Pirie Regional Council. As well as dredging, the project includes construction of a rock wall near the current boat ramp to enable reuse of the dredged material. A fourth lane will also be added to the boat ramp.
