Former Port Executive Director Harry Plomarity of Port of Corpus Christi Passes Away

The Port of Corpus Christi expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of former Port Executive Director Harry G. Plomarity. As the leader of the Port of Corpus Christi for nearly two decades (from 1976-1994), Harry Plomarity steered the Port through a number of important milestones. Those include expansion of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, the establishment of Foreign Trade Zone No. 122, and the diversification of port cargoes to expand its role in the global economy. The impact and legacy he left on the Port of Corpus Christi are everlasting and will be felt for generations to come.
