The first stage of dredging in the water area of the specialized seaport “Olvia” was completed. Last time operating dredging in the port was conducted in 2007, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Currently estimated total amount of performed works on operational deepening is 31 600 cubic meters. According to technical specification, the overall dredging is more than 99 000 cubic meters. The port’s passport depth is 10.5 meters.
As a reminder, in 2016 the specialized seaport Olvia handled over 3 MMT of grain cargoes (+25%). It is expected that this year the port will continue to increase grain handling volumes.
