Pending federal approval, the Port of Alsea wants to remove at least 30,000 cubic yards of sediment from its marina, add a new recreational dock and repair a protective debris boom during the 2016-17 in-water work period.
The ambitious proposal, which could have a total price tag of nearly $740,000, is now in the hands of the Portland office of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
