Eddie Jackson Named Major General in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

A former Conyers resident and 1982 Heritage High School graduate, Army officer Eddie Jackson, center, was promoted to major general on Aug. 2 by Lt. Gen. Thomas Bostick, U.S. Army chief of engineers, at left, and his wife Lynne. Jackson is the son of Don and Mary Jackson of Conyers. He currently serves as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers deputy commanding general for civil and emergency operations in Washington, D.C.
