Nominations are now open for the 2021 European Commercial Marine Awards, which will be presented at Seawork in June.

* Marine Equipment, Electronics & Materials
* Diving & Underwater Technology
* Renewable Energy
* Safety & Training
Anyone who exhibits or works for a Seawork or M&CCE Expo Exhibitor can be nominated, and the winner will be decided by a panel of judges.
Chairman of the Innovation Awards judging panel, Maritime Journal Editor Jake Frith said: “After a year that has seen unprecedented use of the word ’unprecedented’, I think we’re all just about ready for a blazing hot week at Seawork in June (the sun ALWAYS seems to shine at Seawork). Once we have quite finished embracing our freshly vaccinated colleagues, another highlight will certainly be the Innovations Showcase part of the ECMAs. With two years’ worth of Commercial Marine developments, inventions and innovations to consider, the judging panel and I are expecting to be doubly staggered by the ingenuity on display.”
While not giving too much away on the closely guarded Innovation Awards judging parameters, Frith did offer some detail this year: “As always, we’ll be looking for evidence of real life problem-solving. While any new or clever ideas are great fun to consider, our winners tend to provide clearly in the entry process a clear idea of the problem or challenge in the industry that the innovation solves. The very best manage to explain clearly the extent to which the problem or challenge exists and the extent to which their innovation solves it.”
Its worth it! Each winner will receive coverage via the Seawork, M&CCE Expo and Maritime Journal channels – in print to 20,787 magazine readers, online to 29,000 web visitors and via eNews sent directly to 38,000 Maritime Journal, 4,600 M&CCE and over 40,000 Seawork subscribers.
