Eastern Shipbuilding Group Meets its Safety Goal for 2025 Achieves a Company Best Safety Rating From DART

Posted on February 24, 2026

PANAMA CITY, FL –  Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) announced it has met its safety goal for 2025 and achieved a company best DART rating.

The DART rate tracks workplace injuries and illnesses that result in lost work time or restricted duty and is a key measure of workplace safety performance.

“Our safety goal for 2025 was simple — outperform our stellar 2024 safety performance and set a new company record for workplace safety” said Joey D’Isernia, CEO of Eastern Shipbuilding Group. “Our workforce remained steadfast in its commitment to workplace safety, and the reward was a company best safety record!”

The company credits its workforce’s engagement and accountability for the continued improvement.

“Safety is part of the job, not separate from it,” D’Isernia added. “Every time someone speaks up, addresses a potential hazard, or takes the time to plan safety into the next task, it makes a difference. This result belongs to the entire team.”

Eastern Shipbuilding Group continues to invest in training, equipment, and employee involvement initiatives designed to protect the well-being of its employees and build long-term safety performance.
