RESERVE, LA – On February 27th 2020, DSC Dredge’s Director of International Dredge Sales, Charles Sinunu, was invited to US Ambassador Miller’s residence to attend the opening reception celebrating the official launch of the US-Bangladesh Trade Show 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Chargé d’affaires Wagner inaugurated the 27th U.S. Trade Show, and in her opening highlighted the great American products available in Bangladesh and the strong partnership between U.S. and Bangladeshi businesses. Amongst these was the new partnership between Deep Diggers and DSC Dredge LLC for building dredges in Bangladesh.
Sinunu was also a speaker on the Indo-Pacific Economic Vision seminar together with representatives from DuPont Bangladesh, US Department of State, USAID and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority. According to Mr. Keven Ellerbrock of the US Embassy-Dhaka, contributions were both enlightening and engaging and a great way to continue discussions to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific.
Immediately after the seminar was a signing ceremony between Deep Diggers Ltd and DSC Dredge LLC witnessed by US Ambassador Miller covering the sale of two 18” DSC dredge machinery packages for local fabrication in Bangladesh. Ambassador Miller stated the US-Bangladesh Trade Show is to highlight and broaden U.S. trade and investment ties with Bangladesh and the DSC export of dredge machinery will provide for a transfer of technology and create jobs both in the USA and Bangladesh, a win-win for all that both Governments can support.
