People in downtown Hannibal have likely noticed a crane reaching into the sky. The equipment is helping with a Board of Public Works project, according to Mathew Munzlinger of the BPW.
“As part of our water system improvement project we’re putting in a line from the water plant back to the river to drain all our byproducts of the water treatment process back to the river,” he said. “As part of the project we’re installing a diffuser in the river. The subcontractor to Bleigh, Massman Construction whose crew is out of St. Louis, is out dredging materials so they can install the line out into the river.”
