The dredging of the commercial port of Zarzis with a cost estimated at 23 million dinars will begin early June 2016, said CEO of the Office of Merchant Navy and Port (French: OMMP).
Introducing the port’s development strategy in the short and medium terms to civil society representatives, the official noted that the depth of the port will reach 11 metres to enable hosting larger boats with over 20 thousand tonnes load.
