A $10 million loan was approved Tuesday for the Waurika Lake dredging project.

Waurika Lake Master Conservancy District Manager Dave Taylor said the project, estimated to cost about $12 million, will consist of removing sediments, replacing intake gates on the main side of the pump station building and building an intake structure further out into the lake to prevent a reoccurrence of the situation while allowing immediate access to more water.
