MOREHEAD CITY, Carteret County — The beach is looking much different now on parts of Carteret County’s beachfront.
Workers say they spent Thursday removing the dredging equipment along the beach; the equipment was used to bring more sand as part of the beach renourishment project.
Approximately 2 million cubic yards of sand has been placed along 9.5 miles of beach from Atlantic Beach to Emerald Isle, workers say.
