Speaking to CNBC-TV18 Rajesh Tripathi, Chairman, Dredging Corporation said the the government’s plan to launch about 231 projects under the Namami Gange will bode well for companies like Dredging. He estimates the total size of the entire Namami Gange project will be about Rs 50-60,000 crore spread across four-five years. “About 10 percent of that or Rs 5000 crore would involve dredging,” he said. Each city through which the Ganges flows will involve about Rs 200-300 crore worth of dredging activity.
