Danny Georgiadis, PhD: I was humbled and honored to receive 2018 Engineer of the Year at the DCCEAS Awards Banquet Saturday. Thank you to the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) for nominating me and to all who participated!
Began career in the electrical construction industry in 1998. Joined civil service at NAVSEA in 2001 in electrical & systems engineering. Assignments included NSWC, Pentagon-OPNAV, PEO LMW, PEO LCS, PEO SUB. Began teaching graduate Systems Engineering courses at The George Washington University in 2013. Left government service in 2015, and returned to industry as CTO of Hepburn and Sons LLC, engineering consulting. Selected to develop and lead newest graduate program in Systems Engineering at Florida State University in 2018, and transitioned to part time Sr. Engineering Consultant at Hepburn.
