As DEME’s base in Vlissingen starts to emerge from the morning mist, our mighty MODIGA is revealed. Using typical DEME ingenuity, we designed the 60m high MODIGA, together with TMS, specifically for the challenges of offshore wind farm construction. The MODIGA will encapsulate the drilling and installation operations for the wind turbine XL monopile foundations at the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm project, reduce the exposure to adverse marine conditions, as well as enhance operational working time. The innovative MODIGA will be deployed from our offshore installation vessel ‘Innovation’.
