Annual report 2024
DEME is releasing its 2024 Annual Report today, marking the third report since the company’s stock listing in 2022. As announced at the end of February, 2024 proved to be an outstanding year for DEME. All segments did very well, reflected in robust financial results. Turnover and profitability have both shown double-digit growth for the full year, and fueled by a very strong cash flow, the net financial debt position was reversed into a positive net cash position, further solidifying DEME’s financial strength.
Boosting capabilities through bold investment decisions
In their joint message in the Annual Report, CEO Luc Vandenbulcke and Chairman Luc Bertrand, emphasize: “Over the previous years we took bold decisions to invest in groundbreaking offshore installation vessels such as ‘Orion’ and ‘Green Jade’, and in ‘Spartacus’, the most powerful cutter suction dredger in the world. The results of 2024 demonstrate that this multi-year fleet investment program has paid off.”
“This level of performance is only made possible due to our exceptional employees and their determination, ingenuity and efforts to go above and beyond. Supported by nearly 150 years of marine engineering expertise, DEME is indeed in top form, and we are gearing up to celebrate this special anniversary in a year from now.”
Creating a better, livable world
The Annual Report highlights DEME’s dedication to sustainable performance and its commitment to building a better, more livable world. DEME is at the forefront of the energy transition, actively addressing critical global challenges: climate change, a growing population and urbanization, increasing maritime trade and environmental issues.
From now on, the report also contains a CSRD-compliant Sustainability Statements’ chapter. The Annual Report is available at www.deme-group.com/annual-report-2024.
The Dutch version of the report will be available online on 11 April 2025.
