DEME Discovery: inspiring the next generation
From April 7 to 10, we welcomed a group of Civil Engineering students from KU Leuven’s Statix student association for the fifth edition of DEME Discovery – this time at the impressive Fehmarnbelt tunnel project.
Over four days, the students got a unique, behind-the-scenes look at one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe. Highlights included a visit to the placed tunnel element on the Danish side, a tour of the production hall, a trip through the exhibition center, and even a boat tour through Copenhagen. We wrapped up with a cozy DEME Dinner to reflect on an inspiring experience.
Their curiosity, questions and energy made this edition another one to remember — who knows, maybe we met some future colleagues along the way!
