DEME has been awarded a major contract to carry out the deepening works on the river Elbe in Germany. We will deploy several trailing suction hopper dredgers, backhoe dredgers and spreader pontoons to dredge a staggering 32 million m³ of material on the 116 km fairway between Cuxhaven and Hamburg. This prestigious contract confirms DEME’s technological expertise in complex dredging and marine engineering projects and our strong position in the German market.
